Doily Dobermans Story
Brix at 10 months old
My love for dogs started when I was growing up, we always had dogs around the house. From Toy Poodles, Pomeranians, and Pekingese, then when I was 12 to a German Shepherd. But, the Doberman Pinscher impressed me the most. I always admire their elegant-look, intelligence, fierceness and loyalty.
I got my first Doberman in 1998 back home in the Philippines from a local breeder. She was a show dog, but never had the chance to show her in the ring. I named her "Brix", she was my first Brix. She developed Wobbler's Syndrome when she was 7 months old. She died in 2004 when I was already here in the United States. I missed her so much. I started looking for another Doberman, taking into considerations the health status and the breeder this time. Cambria's Nemiroff (AKC registered name) came into my life in 2006. He is by Argentina CH Baden Baden Voodoo (Sire) and out of Rebayla's Vodkatini Amazona (Dam). I named him Brix after my first Dobe, he is my second "Brix". I did not know that this second "Brix" will change my whole life. Brix is full of life, very sweet, very smart, always eager to please me. Dobermans are nick-named "Velcro Drogs", and Brix is the quentessential of a "Velcro Dog". I started going to conformation class with Brix in 2007 at Toledo Kennel Club (Toledo, Ohio) and started showing Brix in 2008. Brix loved the show ring more than anything else in the world. We finished Brix with his Championship in November 2009 with the help of a very special person and an excellent professional handler named Vicki Seiler. I continued to show Brix in 2010 and I finished his Grand Championsip in October 2010 and was blessed enough to show him at the "2010 AKC-Eukanuba National Championship" in Long Beach, California.
Doily Dobermans strives in breeding Dobermans with excellent health, temperament, and adheres to AKC Standard:
